A hand formed plaque with stencils, stamps and prints impressed into the clay.
After pressing the design into the clay, the plaque was bisque fired in order to prepare it for the next stage.
Once the plaque emerged from it's first firing it was hand painted using engobes then wiped in order to reveal the highlights from the imprint.
The final stage for this unique plaque was a final firing to vitrify the clay and complete the piece. The look is rustic and raw, natural and imperfect. The plaque is irregular in shape and the stamps have a playful positioning on the clay.
The plaque is hung with wire on a natural branch.
Plaque measures approx. H:33.5 W: 8cm
